Lily pad friend

IMG 4604

At Skylands the other day I found a few water lilies still blooming. As I approached the canal, I heard strange little cries, then a plopping noise in the water.

Upon closer inspection I realized that it was little frogs jumping off the lily pads! Only one of them was brave enough to pose for a photo shoot.

I’d say this little guy has his camouflage down pat.

I don’t want to jump to any conclusions, but I’d say your classes have made your photos better. I am hopping you keep it up! These photos are ribbeting.

Such puns, dear hubby! Very clever! And, thank you.

I agree. That last photo is fabulous.  What a cutie!  Very ribbeting indeed.

C, thank you! He was very cute and very patient. He posed for about ten to fifteen minutes for me.

All photos were shot off aperture priority.

I love that you captured Mr. Frog and how his eye is reflected in the water!  We are used to seeing toads, but not big green guys like him! He does look like he is posing.

Bigsis, thanks, glad you like Mr. Frog!

Wow, those are incredible photos. Especially that last one. What an eye! (Both you and the frog!)

Thank you Steve! Coming from you I consider that a huge compliment! wink

I’ve never been able to get a great frog shot list these!  There is a great lily pad pond at Rutger’s gardens but all the frogs move too quickly.  Love all the shots!

Helene, all it takes is one very patient (and unafraid) frog. Thanks, glad you liked them!
