Photos of Indiana

Here is a nice head shot of a young Indiana taken in 1998 by Nicole Lennon.

Indy was a very cute puppy.

Here is a photo of him in France at 6-weeks old. He was very solid and strongly built, fuzzy and fluffy, but a bit grumpy in this photo (which appeared on a dog calendar several years later.)

Indy really started to mature at about 1-1/2 years old. There is a saying among Berner owners: “Three years a young dog, three years a good dog, three years an old dog.” Berners typically live about 9 years.

Here is a photo of him on our mountain land in Northern Colorado at about 2-years old.

Here is a photo of Indy with a litter of 8 puppies that he sired. It is really hard to get 8 energetic puppies to sit still for a photo, but I think we got 7 of them looking into the camera, more or less.

We have some mountain land in Northern Colorado, just south of the Wyoming border. On the land, we’ve cut some hiking trails and names many landmarks. One of those landmarks is called “Picnic Rock”, because we used to picnic on the rock before we build our cabin.

Here is Indy on Picnic Rock.

Another nice head shot of Indiana (I think he is still on Picnic Rock in this photo.)

Indiana, like most Berners, really loved the snow. Indy knee-deep in snow in the Winter of 2000.
