Welcome to my forum site for wild mushrooms. I’m starting this more as a resource to keep track of mushroom information for myself. But, I hope other people discover it and start to contribute, too.

One very important note: Do not use information from this forum as your sole means for identifying mushrooms! This is especially true if you want to identify edible mushrooms. There are many “look alikes” where one mushroom is edible and another is deadly poisonous. Before eating any mushroom you find, its identification should be independently verified by an experienced mycologist.

Having said that, I do hope that content in this forum helps “put you on the right path” and helps us all become better, more experienced, more knowledgeable mushroom fans.
