America’s first “road trip”
Last night, Lynne and I watched a fascinating Ken Burns documentary on PBS. It was about the first trans-continental crossing by automobile in 1903. It was about a piece of American history I had never heard about, and yet helped transform transportation and usher in the age of the automobile in the US.

I’m not a fan of cynicism and pessimism, but ...
Sometimes I visit [url=http://www.despair.com]http://www.despair.com[/url] for a laugh. This whole site is consistently cynical and pessimistic about business culture. Still, taken “tongue in cheek”, some of the web pages, and especially the “motivational” posters are a laugh. So, I often use this cynical site to cheer myself up!
