Yes, Dogs can Nurse Kittens

When we got our kitten, eBay, (it is a long story), she was only 3 or 4 weeks old. She was ugly and scrawny….and, hungry. We had two dogs able to produce a little milk, Mira and Margaux. Here is a photo of Margaux, nursing eBay.

United Way Cooking Classes

This year, I plan to try some new things. We’ll do Italian. I’m thinking home-made mozzarella cheese. Home-made pasta. Pork cooked in milk. ... What to have for dessert?

Here are some photos of the class from last year. As I decide on this year’s menu, I’ll post it as a comment to this article.

Dog Sled Races in Alaska

I recently read three books—back to back—that were all about sled dog races in Alaska. I recommend all three books, especially if you love dogs.

I lived in Alaska for a year back in the late ‘70s, and I could really identify with the stories about Alaska, its beauty, the unique culture, the weather, etc.

Click “more” for more information about these books.
