Signs of New Orleans

I have several day’s worth of signs to share with you. I found them interesting. I usually take photos of things that other people walk right on by. Like doors, windows, architectural details. There were plenty of all those things to keep my camera happily clicking away. So, be prepared over the next week to see New Orleans through my camera lens. Here are today’s signs. Let me know what you think!

GREAT photos!!  I love seeing them.  Wasn’t this area totally destroyed by Katrina?  Is it all rebuilt that much? Those signs look like they have been around forever.  Maybe all that voodoo and magik protected them!

Susan, we were staying in the French Quarter which did not get touched too much by Katrina. The lovely old buildings are still very much in place. Outside of this area, however, it is a different story. It’s very sad to see just how much has NOT been done, and may never be what is was. I will be posting some photos of the 9th ward damage in a few days as well as writing what I hope will be a thought provoking post. I haven’t found the right words yet to describe it.

Glad you liked the photos!

Great pics! “Apply at the cigar?” That is definitely an occult mystery!

Ooops I could have read a little further and found out you were home….love the pics, give your dogs a hug for me….
