Something to smile about

Mia

Our little Mia has something to smile about: the spring-like weather we’ve had over the weekend. She got to stretch her legs on both Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday we drove down to Rockaway to do some shopping at the mall there and to eat at Red Robin for lunch. The drive there on Green Pond Road is fun in a small little convertible.

Sunday found us drawn like a magnet to the Warwick Valley Winery. Again, for lunch.

On the way to the winery is my favorite old barn. We have several different back ways of getting there and we usually go one way and come back another. Lots of twisty little roads just perfect for Mia!

Pizza with proscuitto, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and arugula.

We poured a little wine to go with it.

Now mind you, it’s not the best wine in the world, but decent. This light red is kind of on the fizzy side which gives you a nice little buzz. It wasn’t quite eating-outside-warm yet so we opted for inside.

We were going to work in the yard picking up limbs and sticks that the trees have tossed down but we ended up way lazier than that. Oh well.

How about another little glass of wine (white this time) while sitting in the sunshine in the back yard? Any takers? (Can you see Rick reflected in the glass?)

Comments:

I’ll be a taker, for the pizza and wine, that is, oh and also sitting out in your back yard. Have you used the corkcicle lately?  We took the baby Volvo out for a road trip yesterday to see the 40th anniversary Amtrak train in Spencer as it travels around the country. Fun! Will send pics.

Have youu always had those winery glasses?

Bigsis, we’ve used the corkcicle once but haven’t really had the opportunity to use it much in the winter. It will come in handy in the summer by the pool for sure! I know you are always a taker for the wine. wink Yes, we’ve had them for some time; they are the stumpy ones.

Looks very yummy!

I am so looking forward to kicking back with a glass of wine on the porch or deck.  This makes me yearn more for it.  Excellent ride!

C, but the pizza is not vegetarian? Still looks good to you??

Helene, so what’s stopping you? smile

Oh I just love your car - our car colour is Hot Magenta and looks very similar to Mia’s colour!  What a lovely day out - its such fun to take off for the day especially on such a lovely sunny day.

Joyce and others, If you click on the side bar under On This Day ... you will see a link for a post called Mid-Life Crisis which is the post about Mia when we first got her two years ago. Check it out for more pics of what she looks like! What kind of car do you have Joyce? Hot Magenta ... wow!
