What Does a Bear do in the Woods?

Posted by: Rick

We found this down by the pond yesterday. From the amount, shape and size, I'm thinking black bear. From the contents, I'd say he's been visiting our bird feeder.

Scat is about 1-1/2" in diameter.

Guess we need to put the game camera back down there!

Comments:

With such a concentration of bird seed in the scat, I’m surprised you have any bird feeders still standing.

We are surprised too. The only bear we’ve ever seen on our property was tearing down the bird feeder. That was probably 15 years ago. We still have the same bent and broken feeder.

At least there are no birds in it!
