Arctic Fleabane
Some kind of aster, daisy or fleabane, the closest match we can come up with is Arctic Fleabane given the size of the flowers, length of the stalks and the leaves.

Chokecherry Blossoms
This photo of Chokecherry blossoms was taken by Lynne on 6/8/2005. Chokecherries are relatively prolific in Sand Creek Park. The small bitter pitted fruit can be made into jelly, but humans seldom get the luxury of picking ripe berries!

Common Shadbush or Serviceberry
This relation to the rose can be recognized by the rose-like leaves, but no thorns on the stalks. The flowers are often ragged and unattractive. This matures to create a sweet edible berry with a soft pit. We have a couple of these bushes near the cabin. Photo by Lynne on 6/9/2005.
