Drab, Dreary and Damp

Those three words sum up the weather for the past few days. It’s so dark that I turned on the Christmas lights outside during the day! Yesterday was damp, but warm. I still started a fire in the wood stove though to take the chill off. Today is colder, rainy and still damp. But, it would seem that it might change tonight to SNOW. We’ll have to see, but even an inch would be good right about now.

We don’t have our tree yet. This Saturday we are going to a Christmas tree farm to cut one. The lights are up outside and the wreaths hung above the windows, so the outside of the house looks festive. Now I just have to work on the inside. Christmas always sneaks up on me and I am never ready. Please can we insert another month in-between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Please?

I know this is a boring entry but whenever I don’t blog my sister (love ya sis!) thinks something happened to me.

Comments:

Your friend in Colorado gets a little concerned, too!  If you need snow, we can ship you some of ours.  Our Christmas lights have been twinkling through several inches for days.

Linda, you are too funny! Since when does a blog or lack thereof make a bad scenario? Love you! I didn’t think you got hit with much snow from the past several days. We’ll catch up tomorrow!
wink

You are ahead of me with the Xmas decorations as I havn’t made a start yet.  We are experiencing a 100mph storm across Scotland with many schools and bridges closed today.  The rain is lashing against the windows which has thankfully got rid of the covering of snow we had tho snow is forecast again for the weekend!

It’s true—-I worry.

Well, the Christmas tree finally found its way out of the kitchen and into the den and slowly got decorated last night. Now it looks so pretty, but, it was not a fun job. Which is horrible to say! Still have the stair railing and outdoor iclces to do. Bring on the snow!!!

Joyce, I am not there yet either. Today I took out many different “decorations” and they are still all sitting around looking sad instead of being in their places.

Bigsis, really you would know if something was truly wrong. Because I don’t choose to blog has nothing to do with it! smile No tree here yet and not much happening in the way of other household decorations. Just not in the spirit! Yeah, snow would be nice but I really don’t think it’s going to happen before you get here sadly enough.
