Surf’s up!

What follows are some photos I took of things that took place in the surf.

This wave appears to have five heads.

This little sandpiper did not like the waves to catch him. When the wave went out he would scurry as fast as his little legs could carry him to the edge of the water and look for food, but when a wave came back in he’d scurry back up the beach. Most of the time he managed to outrun the wave, but sometimes he was caught off guard. Run, little sandpiper, run!

Take a boat ride along the shore, whether it’s a dinner cruise, rental, or tour and you can see each shore town has it’s own water tower, from Asbury Park to Lavallette and Ortley Beach, The Seasides and all the way down to A.C and Cape May/Wildwood. LBI is nice, that whole area around Brick and Brielle is mostly residential.  I prefer the boardwalks of Seaside and Atlantic City more.  It’s a different atmosphere I think. A lively, all-night feel. I’m not surprised it’s so crowded, last week before Labor Day.
